INSTALLING REVERSE OSMOSIS (RO) UNIT AND TANKS

RO Placement.
Begin installation by reading the supplied manual and becoming familiar with the components. Select the area you will be placing the RO unit, and the Vertical Tank. Consider electrical supply (four gang or 2 two gang), water supply, and drain. Typically the RO unit will be installed as close as possible to the wash bay and preferably under cover. Likewise the vertical tank is set close to the RO unit.

Supplying water to the RO unit
Connected to the hydro-magnetic water conditioner is a hose that is 15 feet long. Connect this hose to the water spigot supply coming off of your wash bay wall. This is the supply water to the RO unit.

Photo1 Connecting the tank fill line to the tank float.
Supplied is 50 feet of poly tubing. This is used in one other place so cut to length as needed. First connect one end, using the fitting supplied, to the tank fill marked "A" on the RO unit. (See Photo1 left).

Photo2 Connect the other end to the vertical tank fill fitting marked "A" (see Photo2 left) Harness the float switch cable with the tank fill line back to the RO unit using the supplied tie-straps. Connect the three-conductor switch cable to the junction box. Replace the color-coded leads with their associated leads and tighten the strain relief onto the cable. (See Photo3 below)

Connecting the storage tank to the distribution pump.
First attach the ball/check valve assembly end marked "C" to the bulkhead fitting at the bottom of the storage tank also marked "C". (See Photo4 below)

Run the wastewater to drain.
Using the rest of your poly tubing and supplied fittings, run a drain line from the wastewater tee fitting on the RO (see Photo6 right) to your selected drain.

Plug in Electrical

There are two 110 V plugs, 15 amps each. The first is the RO pump. You are now ready to start producing your spot free water! Attention: After the storage tank is ½ full, (filled with spot free water from the RO) plug in the yellow plug from the Distribution Pump. This will guarantee that the pump is not run dry.
